Public Awareness

1. Create a public awareness & education campaign via advertising, news stories, PSAs and events
2. Create countywide collaboration to eliminate the transmission of hepatitis B by
   improving access to services
3. Create hepatitis B educational opportunities for primary care clinicians

Screening

1. Provide free or low-cost testing at community and healthcare settings and events
2. Promote testing for insured patients within the primary care medical community

Vaccination

1. Provide free or low-cost vaccination through San Mateo County clinics and Public Health Department – hospital programs, community clinics & special sites
2. Promote vaccination of insured patients within the primary care medical community

Treatment / Follow-up

1. Refer patients to their primary care physician or to appropriate clinical sites for
   follow-up & care
2. Promote care of insured persons within the primary care medical community
3. Support primary care clinicians with access to hepatitis B educational venues
